Why Reauthorization is Important

Reauthorizing your API connections ensures that Ramp for FE can securely sync data with both Ramp and Financial Edge NXT (FENXT). You may need to reauthorize when:

Tokens expire
Credentials change
You encounter sync errors related to authorization

Steps to Reauthorize Connections

1️⃣ Go to API Connections

From the Ramp for FE left-hand menu, click API Connections.

2️⃣ Click Authorize Financial Edge NXT

You’ll be redirected to Blackbaud’s login page.
Sign in and grant access.

3️⃣ Click Authorize Ramp

You’ll be redirected to Ramp’s login page.
Sign in and approve access.

4️⃣ After both are complete, you’ll return to Ramp for FE and your connections will be refreshed.

Best Practices

Reauthorize both connections together to prevent sync errors.
After reauthorization, use the Refresh Data option to pull in updates (GL codes, vendors, projects).
Keep a log of reauthorization dates for your records.

Troubleshooting Tips

If reauthorization fails:

Confirm you have admin permissions in both FE NXT and Ramp.
Make sure browser pop-up blockers are disabled during login.
Try clearing your browser cache and reattempting.
