Ramp for FE – General Settings Overview

The General Settings section in Ramp for FE allows you to manage core aspects of your integration setup and user access. Below is a breakdown of the available options and their functions:

1. Clear Cache

Ramp for FE syncs with Financial Edge NXT (FENXT) approximately every 15 minutes. If you have recently made updates in FENXT—such as adding new attachment types, projects, or other default values—you can use Clear Cache to force a refresh and immediately pull in the latest data.

2. Authorize Financial Edge NXT or Authorize Ramp

If you're switching between different Ramp for FE instances (e.g., multiple Ramp accounts/subscriptions), or if you've recently updated credentials in either FENXT or Ramp, you may need to reauthorize the connection.

You can do this either:

• From the General Settings section, or

• By navigating to API Connections

Click Authorize Financial Edge NXT or Authorize Ramp, depending on which system you're updating, and follow the prompts to re-authenticate.

4. API Connections

Similar to the Authorize Financial Edge NXT or Authorize Ramp, this section allows you to manage your connection status with both Ramp and Financial Edge NXT. Use this area to reauthorize, view status, or troubleshoot connection issues.

5. Update Default Transaction Settings

From the General Settings page, you can update the default configuration for the following transaction types:

• Card Transactions

• Reimbursements

• Bills

This includes changing how each transaction type is mapped or processed between Ramp and Financial Edge NXT. For example, you may want to adjust default project mappings, fund selections, or other field-level defaults that apply when new transactions are synced.

Making changes here helps ensure that your integration reflects your organization’s current accounting structure and preferences.

6. User Invitations

Invite new users to your Ramp for FE environment and manage access levels.
